Bio
Austrian drummer Andreas Reisenhofer was born as the youngest child in a family of musicians. It was quite natural that at the age of 11, he first gained performance experience behind the drums with his family band Famusica, playing pop, rock and gospel. His introduction to jazz music came through his drum teacher Reinhardt Winkler who greatly enthused and inspired him. Following his early education was a bachelor and master in jazz drumming at the Univeristy of Performing Arts Graz.In 2019, he made his debut with the "Tanja Filipovic Quartet" at the renowned Royal Garden Jazz Club in Graz. Over the following years he participated in various CD productions, including the "Max Kreuzer Octet" and the "Bad Odyssey" as well as "Absence" by the Armin Jambor Quintet. Recently, he recorded a CD with the Martin Iaies Trio, featuring the participation of the British star saxophonist Julian Argüelles. Additionally he toured with the Dena De Rose Trio and the New York Jazz Vocal Group The Royal Bopsters in Austria.Furthermore, he can be heard in various formations such as the Renato Chicco Organ Trio, Jim Rotondi, the Konstantinos Bourvaris Trio, the Blaž Pahor Trio, the Gavro Quartet, the OSTstyrian Rhythm Section, Swing aRound, the ALK Trio, and the Kaan Karadavut Quintet throughout Europe.
